Trauma Informed Supervision Workshops

Our
Story

After Incarceration’s Trauma-Informed Supervision training helps supervisors, managers, team leaders, and organizational leaders better understand how trauma influences behavior, communication, performance, and workplace culture.
Many workplaces serve or employ people who have experienced significant adversity, including violence, incarceration, poverty, discrimination, family instability, grief, and other forms of trauma. These experiences do not disappear when someone enters a workplace. They often influence how people respond to stress, conflict, feedback, authority, and change.
Trauma-informed supervision provides leaders with practical tools for creating environments where people can succeed while maintaining clear expectations, accountability, and organizational standards.

Why This Training Matters
Many workplace challenges are mistakenly viewed as motivation problems, attitude problems, or performance problems when they may be connected to unresolved trauma, chronic stress, or organizational culture.
Trauma-informed supervision helps leaders better understand the people they supervise while improving communication, morale, retention, and team effectiveness.
The goal is not to lower standards or excuse harmful behavior. The goal is to create conditions where people have a genuine opportunity to meet expectations, contribute meaningfully, and grow.
